Working with AWS Core Services
In this session, David will review many categories of services within Amazon Web Services including compute, storage, and databases. At each step, David will provide a workshop-style lab that will enable you to get hands-on with one of the services. If you are new to AWS, David will provide an introductory lab that will guide you through basic actions using a core service. If you already experiences with the platform, David will have advanced options for the labs that will help you take your skills to the next level.
Getting Started
Before you can leverage any of the labs included in this session, you will need to login to your Pluralsight account.
Storage
This section will deal with utilizing core storage and delivery services on AWS. There is a basic and intermediate option for labs in this section. If the links do not work, please make sure you are first signed into Pluralsight.
- Beginner - Use Amazon S3 to Create a Static Single-page Website
- Intermediate - Hosting a Single-Page Web Application with Amazon S3 and CloudFront
Compute
This section will deal with utilizing core compute services on AWS. There is a basic and intermediate option for labs in this section.
- Beginner - Executing a Lambda Function Triggered by an S3 Upload
- Intermediate - Deploy a Secure API Using Lambda and API Gateway
Databases
This section will cover core database services on AWS. This section provides a single lab instead of different options.
Infrastructure as Code
This section will cover using Infrastructure as Code with AWS CloudFormation (a core service). There is a basic and intermediate option for labs in this section.
